Like cleaning out a chicken coop with a teaspoon.

Back in the 90's I was lured into selling Amway. At my first convention we learned the value of the difference between short and long term gratitude. The speaker liken the long term gratitude to being as oppressive as shoveling out a chicken coop with a teaspoon. This was only made doable because of the prize that lay beyond completion of the task.
My time here at Nemo trying to 'sell' Reflexology is a bit like that chicken coop story. Being here out front every day making people laugh with my banner, and being able to work on a few folks that 'get it' is a great short term result. What has become the goal is to have people look forward coming back to the area to see if that Reflexology lady is at Nemo again. This is the attitude I have had to take because of the working situation I encountered after arriving. I only brought my Reflex tools in case I had time to work on people after working in the bar and restaurant. Now I am having to 'make it work'. I am grateful for the exposure up front. But people come and go here all day long with little time to sell the service. I am winning my fight with having a positive attitude about my time here. It is a gorgeous part of the country, I am meeting some very nice people and I haven't had a vacation since I cannot remember when so there is that.
I miss my kitty and my friends and my clients and my gigs, but all too soon I will be back doing what I do.
